This is a terrific pattern but desperately needs a prettier sky. Masked a new sky in Photoshop. A duplicate blue channel appied once (to darken) and various "Image/Adjustment" levels & Curves were used to create the mask.
The colors are bland. Adjusted in Lightroom.

The colors were adjusted in Photoshop LAB mode using curves.
The "Lens Blur" filter, adjustment layers, & masks were used to highlight just one of the cacti.
This image was taken in very harsh light. The shadow detail is virtually gone. Originally the "Highlights & Shadows" image adjustments in Photoshop were used. But this adjusted image was completed using various level adjustments in Lightroom. Using virtual copies in Lightroom is much easier and doesn't require additional copies.

This is a fun image. The adjustments were done solely in Lightroom. First various level adjustments were made to lighten the shadows. But the sky was still too dark. Using the Blue channel "Luminance" and "Hue Adjustment" sliders created a more pleasing image.
These colors were adjusted in Photoshop LAB mode using a curves layer.
This image was edited in Lightroom using various level and radial filter adjustments.
We needed more of a winner. All edits were completed in Photoshop.
